As a native of Watertown, New York, Dr. Claire Puccia Parham is dedicated to documenting the history of northern New York and its people. She has published two books entitled From Great Wilderness to Seaway Towns: A Comparative History of Cornwall, Ontario, and Massena, New York 1784-2001 and The St. Lawrence Seaway Project: An Oral History of the Greatest Construction Show on Earth. Both groundbreaking works have been heralded by critics as heartfelt and readable.
As the Director of the Center for Faculty Excellence and Innovation and a lecturer in the History Department at Siena College, Dr. Parham specializes in modern American and world history.
